The story begins with a pair of siblings, Ah Mun and Ah Long who hate loan sharks because they caused the death of their father. They vowed to each other that if given an opportunity, they would rid the world of this social menace. However, as time wears on, the siblings realize they have to choose between justice and love. Malaysia’s MCA Public Service and Complaints Department head Datuk Michael Chong (who has been actively addressing loan shark problems) will make a special appearance.

A dysfunctional group of misfits and dropouts try to prove the relevance of their own lives as librarians endorsing the relevance of libraries, ironically at a time when they are being further pushed into the abyss in our hyper-modern technology based world. In all Doubt on Loan focuses on the dysfunctional librarians of Shawcross Library and Interactive centre, as they navigate their way through running a failing library in our increasingly hyper-modern technology based world, relationships and their pasts. Making matters worse their warped views, and precarious judgments often lead them to trouble, creating a myriad of uncomfortable situations that usually only get worse before they get better (which doesn't often happen).

A Seattle couple travel to New York to interview colorful former dancer Tobi for research on a dissertation about dance. But soon, common niceties and social graces erode when the questions turn personal and the true nature of the interview is called into question.

Mirai Suzuki (Yuko Oshima) becomes responsible for her mother's debt which is owed to loan shark Kaoru Ushijima (Takayuki Yamada). To begin paying off her mother's debt, Mirai begins working at a dating cafe. Meanwhile, Jun (Kento Hayashi) is the ambitious and greedy company president for an event group. To borrow money, Jun visits Kaukau Finance owned by Kaoru Ushijima.

In the boardrooms and hallways of the fiercely competitive "Lok's Toy Company", where employees vie for the top management position while trading verbal barbs and romantic overtures. According to the passed director of the Lok's Toy Company, his properties were divided to his niece Lok Ka Kei and nephew Lok Ka Sing. However, Sing's share will be temporarily held by Kei until she marries. Sing then sends his followers to date Kei and hopes she will soon get married. However, all of them fail because Kei falls in love with the company's chief designer Peter Lai. Finally, after solving certain misunderstandings, Sing realizes his fault and decides to run the business on his own.
